Excavations in Cosmeston Medieval Village

In July this year, the Department of Archaeology and Conservation of Cardiff University will resume excavations in Cosmeston Medieval Village as part of the Cosmeston Archaeological Project partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council. A generous grant from the Society of Antiquaries of London has enabled four weeks of fieldwork to take place.

The excavation will be taking place from Monday 2nd to Friday 27th July and from Monday 9th to Tuesday 26th (inclusive) visitors to the Medieval Village will have the opportunity to view the fieldwork and what is being found onsite during tours at regular times of the day.
