 Knap Gardens

The Knap Gardens is a Green Flag park.

One of the most popular all year round destinations in Barry, Knap Gardens are an oasis of calm from the wind blowing in from the Cold Knap, with its flower-filled borders, a sunken garden and gently tinkling fountain.

Summer or winter, Knap Gardens is a great place for families and dog walkers to go for a stroll or a bracing walk.

The focal point of the garden is a harp-shaped lake with ducks and swans, and during the summer months, the occasional remote-controlled boat.

The area around the Knap was designed and developed under the influence of the Garden City movement. There are some pleasant 1920’s houses, another large park and a small number of shops a short distance away.

Please note: Dogs must be on leads as there are swans and ducks in the park.
