Parking

We carryout parking enforcement as a joint partnership agreement with Bridgend County Borough Council.

Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO) patrol various areas of the county on a daily basis, usually concentrating on the areas that need the most improvement in terms of parking compliance.

CEOs help identify illegal and irresponsible parking. Their job is to keep our roads clear and safe and to help achieve compliance with the parking restrictions. In most instances where appropriate, before issuing a ticket they will use their discretion and try to explain to the driver why they should not be parked illegally.

Park Tidy LogoPark Tidy Campaign

We want to ensure the Vale of Glamorgan is a safe place to walk, drive and cycle. With this in mind, we are launching a campaign on Facebook and Twitter to promote safer parking throughout the Vale.

  • Parked cars on busy corners
  • Vehicles parked on pavements
    • Parking across dropped kerbs
    • Vehicles parking on yellow zig zag outside local primary school
  • Non blue badge holders parking in disabled parking bays
  • Double parking on side streets

We're using the hashtags #ParkTidy and #ParcioTwt to promote safer parking across the Vale.

Report Parking Issues

If there are areas you are concerned about consistent inappropriate parking in the Vale please let us know. You can highlight areas of concern via an online form, email or by phone:

Reporting Illegally or Inappropriately Parked Vehicles

You can report an illegally or inappropriately parked vehicle by contacting the parking manager directly at Bridgend

We are unable to send out a CEO to provide an immediate response although any reported issues will be logged and monitored as soon as possible. We can only enforce parking where the appropriate restriction is in place with the relevant line markings and/or signs.

Please Note: If the vehicle is parked on the footway causing an obstruction, or blocking driveway access or egress then this is a Police matter and you will need to report it to them directly via 101.
