Bulky Household Waste 

If you have unwanted large household items and appliances such as beds, fridges and furniture you can either recycle them or arrange for household waste collection.

 

We are able to collect the following items:

  • Carpet or Carpet Underlay**

  • Carpet tiles
  • Sheds
  • Radiators
  • Fencing

*Please ensure that any cables/cords from bulky electrical items are cut off prior to placing the item out for collection. This would also include outlet pipes from washing machines/driers.

 

**Carpet and underlay can be either bagged in black bags or rolled up. One item will comprise of a roll approximately 1.8 metres high with a width of 0.4 metres or two black bin bags filled with carpet or underlay with a maximum of 10 bags in total.

 

Terms and Conditions

  • We will collect items between 7am and 3pm

  • Only the items you have listed will be collected

  • Bulky waste items are collected kerbside

  • Put items outside your property by 7am on the agreed booking date

  • If you live in an area with either narrow access or unadopted access please make your booking via C1V to ensure collection

  • Protect items such as leather or fabric sofas and mattresses with a waterproof cover ie tarpaulin, plastic sheet (this will be removed and left at kerbside) to protect from water penetration in the event of rain. Items which are saturated and too heavy to lift will not be taken and no refund will be given

     

  • A photograph may be taken in the event of a failed collection

  • In the event of extreme weather or vehicle breakdown we may need to amend your booking date

  • There will be no refund if you choose to cancel your collection

  • The items listed cannot be amended or added to once the booking is made

£27 per 3 items, with additional items charges at £5.50 each, up to a maximum of 5 items.

 

Please Note: There is no refund for a bulky collection although collection dates can be amended subject to availability. We are unable to amend items once booked.

Donate where possible

If your items are of a good enough quality you may want to consider donating them to family, friends, neighbours or a local charity/community group instead.

Please note: Tradesmen are responsible for disposing of waste they produce when they carry out work; however you are legally responsible for ensuring they do.
