We are a one stop shop for families living in the Vale and people working with families. We provide information about:

  • childcare
  • parent and toddler groups
  • holiday playschemes
  • nanny, baby sitting and au pair agencies
  • help with childcare costs and other benefits for parents
  • how to become a childcare provider
  • activities during school holidays
  • leisure activities
  • family support services
  • services for children with additional needs
  • other services and activities for children and young people age 0-19 years

Our Childcare, Play & Leisure Search above takes you to our on-line childcare database|, where you can search for childcare and activities in your area. For more information and to register your service with us, visit the parents' zone.


If your child carer is looking after a child under the age of 8 for more than 2 hours a day, they must be registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW). For more information visit the parents' zone.
