Concessionary Travel Schemes for Vale of Glamorgan Residents

 

Your Concessionary Travel Card

If your primary address is in Wales and you’re either aged 60 and over or meet the Government’s disability eligibility criteria, you can travel for free on most bus services in Wales and the borders and get discounted or free travel on many rail services.

Apply for a Disabled Person's Welsh Concessionary Travel Card with Companion

You're entitled to a Concessionary Travel Card if you're an eligible disabled person and your primary residence is in Wales. If you're a disabled person and your condition limits your ability to travel alone you may be able to get a companion card that will allow someone else to travel with you for free.

Rail Travel

Cardiff and Valleys Line Concessionary Pass Travel

This scheme is available to all holders of a Concessionary Travel Pass issued by any Welsh Local Authority. Pass holders will be eligible for 34% off local fares on the Cardiff and Valleys network, on or after 09.30 Monday to Friday and any time Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Welsh Young Persons Discounted Travel Scheme Card

Young persons aged 16 to 21 years are now able to register their interest for the new 'Welsh Young Persons Discount Travel Scheme Card'  which will enable them to receive discounted fares on all local bus and TrawsCymru services throughout Wales.
