The Directorate has a wide range of statutory duties and its primary role is to work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop effective, confident and independent learners who enjoy a sense of personal well-being, enabling them to share their learning with others and to contribute to their community and society. The appointment of this post is critical to achieve the aims of the Directorate and the statutory obligations of the Council.

  2. A copy of the proposed job description and person specification is attached for the information of the Committee (at Appendix A and B respectively). A draft recruitment schedule, draft adverts, details of a suggested advertising campaign and projected costs will be tabled for consideration at the meeting.
  3. The Head of Human Resources will undertake an exercise to identify an appropriate organisation to undertake assessment centre/psychometric testing ensuring best value for money.
