Changes to Representation on Outside Bodies

 

Purpose of the Report

1.             To consider a number of changes to the Council's existing representation on outside bodies.

Recommendation

THAT the changes to representations on outside bodies as set out in the report be approved.

Reason for the Recommendation

To ensure continuity of representation by the Council on the outside bodies concerned.

 

Background

2.             Historically, the Council has appointed/nominated representatives to sit on a large number of outside bodies/joint committees.  The majority of existing appointments were approved by Cabinet on 30th May, 2012.

Relevant Issues and Options

3.             Due to various Members' commitments, it has been necessary to review the Council's existing representations on certain outside bodies.  Set out below is a table of the bodies concerned, indicating existing and the proposed replacement memberships.
