Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan - Deposit Draft Plan 2011-26

 

Purpose of the Report

1.         To apprise Cabinet of the outcome of the report to Cabinet of 7th October 2013 now having been submitted to, and considered by, the Scrutiny Committee (Economy and Environment), Community Liaison Committee and Planning Committee.

Recommendation

That Cabinet note the report.

Reason for the Recommendation

To apprise Cabinet of the outcome of the various Committees' consideration of the matter.

 

Background

2.         Members will be aware of the report considered by Cabinet on 7th October 2013 and the resolutions arising from that report.  One of those resolutions was that the report be submitted to the Scrutiny Committee (Economy and Environment), Community Liaison Committee and Planning Committee for consultation.  This process has now concluded and the outcome was as follows:

·               Scrutiny Committee (Economy and Environment) on 8th October recommended that the proposals as contained within the report in order for the statutory six week public consultation exercise to commence in November 2013 be agreed.

·               Both Community Liaison Committee on 16th October 2013 and Planning Committee on 17th October 2013 noted the resolutions of Cabinet.

3.         Together with any further comments of Cabinet from this meeting, the above will be encapsulated as supplementary information to the report already circulated for Council on 23rd October 2013.  

Relevant Issues and Options

4.         All relevant issues and options are as set out in the report to Cabinet on 7th October 2013.  Having regard to recommendation (4) of that report, since presenting the earlier report to Cabinet, several minor changes have been necessary to address typographical errors and minor amendments of a factual nature in respect of the Cabinet draft of the Deposit LDP.  These changes will be presented to Council as supplementary information in the form of an addendum alongside any reference from Cabinet as alluded to above.
