Members were updated on progress towards completion of the Wales Coast Path in their areas  Catrin Dellar (WAG) stated that no decisions had yet been made about funding beyond 2012.  she stressed that all local authorities should spend their grant this year otherwise it would be difficult to make a case for future funding.

4.   National Assembly Elections May 2011

Given that the current Minister was stepping down and that it was important that the value of LAFs should be recognised at ministerial level, Members agreed that the new Minister should be invited to address the next LAF Conference.  All LAFs were asked to contact local candidates to lobby for access issues to be given sufficient priority.
