This survey was for parents or carers with a child aged from birth to 18 years, or for those expecting a child. There was a chance of winning £100 high street vouchers. We wanted to hear your views whether you were using childcare or not. By completing this survey you have helped us improve the services that we provide for you.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council carried out a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) Review to meet its duties under the Childcare Act 2006. The Act requires every local authority to ensure there is sufficient childcare to enable parents to work or undertake education or training in order to make the transition to work.

A full sufficiency assessment is required every five years with annual updates to set out how local authorities are responding to the findings of their childcare sufficiency assessments and working to meet the sufficiency duty.

This survey ran from Thursday 1 September until Friday 14 October 2016.

Thank you to those who responded to the childcare sufficiency assessment. The aim of this survey was to assess childcare in the Vale and the responded will help us improve the services that we provide for you.
