Consultation on improvements to upper and lower Gladstone Gardens
Gladstone Gardens is a much loved park located close to the town centre of Barry. It is made up of the ‘lower’ and ‘upper’ gardens which are divided by Buttrills Road. Over the last few years the park has seen a decline in its quality and the Vale of Glamorgan Council is keen to upgrade the park and has identified funding for its improvement.
We asked residents how they would like to see the park improved to help us decide how best to allocate the funding in order to satisfy the wishes of those who use Gladstone Gardens.
Thanks to all who took part in the consultation. The park is now undergoing it's final phase of improvement works which will include installing new railings, improving the footpaths and access to the park, pond clearance, tree and spring bulb planting. The pages below show the progress to date.
