Play Area Improvements

Consultation on proposed upgrades to play areas in the Vale of Glamorgan

 

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has earmarked £200,000 to upgrade play facilities at the following play areas. The purpose of this consultation was to capture residents' views on what facilities they would like to see in place.

 

This consultation ran from 29 September until 4 November 2016. 

 

The plans for Cliff Walk Park, Penarth, have now been finalised and can be viewed below. The work to upgrade this play area is due to begin in early February 2017 and will last for 4-6 weeks.

 

Cliff Walk Park, Penarth

 

The Council is proposing to substantially upgrade the play facilities at Cliff Walk play area by removing the existing equipment and replacing with new play items. This work is due to commence on 13 February 2017 and should last for 5 - 6 weeks.

 

 

Peterswell Road & St Lythan's Road Play Areas, Cwm Talwg

 

The proposed improvements plan below shows the three options that the Council is considering to improve these play areas. The proposed improvements plan provides examples of what new equipment could look like.

 

Cwrt Y Vil Play Area, Penarth

 

The Council is proposing to substantially upgrade the play facilities at Cwrt-Y-Vil play area by removing the existing equipment and replacing with new play items. The plan below shows the planned upgrade for Cwrt y Vil play area, this work is due to commence in March 2017 and should last for 4-5 weeks.
