The Vale of Glamorgan Council has received Section 106 community facilities funding from a local development within Penarth. This funding will be used to improve some of the features and facilities at Wordsworth Park.
The Council has proposed making the following improvements to the park:
- Upgrade the play area with new equipment, safety surfacing, access improvements, bins, picnic tables and seating
- Move the existing goalposts and reinstate ground
- Create informal wildflower areas and enhance habitats to benefit wildlife
- Upgrade the existing entrance to the park from Wordsworth Avenue with new gates and paths
