10 arrests following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 10 arrests last week.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 43 times during the week ending 30 March 2014.
On 31 March two people were arrested on Thompson Street, Barry on a charge of theft, and on Holton Road, Barry, one person was detained under the Mental Health Act.
Also on 31 March, one person was arrested on Holton Road for threats to kill and arson, while another person was arrested on St. Bride’s Way wanted on a warrant.
Another person wanted on a warrant was arrested on St. Bride’s Way on 3 April.
On 4 April, on Holton Road, one person was arrested for breach of ASBO, and on 5 April on Windsor Road, Penarth, three people were arrested for Affray.
On Vere Street, on 6 April, one person was reported for breach of curfew.
All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.
The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
