Schools go wild for the chance of £250

The annual Vale of Glamorgan Biodiversity Partnership ‘Awards for Wildlife’ competition is once again open for entries.

The competition, which has now been running for almost a decade, aims to reward the schools, colleges, education centres and children’s groups that are doing their bit to look after our Vale wildlife.

So if your school, centre or project has been busy building bug hotels, putting up bird boxes, or planting trees, then you could be who The Vale are looking for. All practical projects, no matter however big or small, are eligible and even projects that are ‘under construction’ will be considered.

The competition runs until Wednesday April 30th 2014, so there’s plenty of time to get your entries in. Winners will receive £250, a framed certificate and trophy kindly donated by RWE Npower Aberthaw, which will be presented during the Grand Parade at the Vale of Glamorgan Show. There are also prizes of £100 and £50 for second and third places.
