9 arrested following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 9 arrests being made last week.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 30 times during the week ending 28 December 2014.
On 22 December a suspect was arrested on Plymouth Road, Penarth for assault. On the same day an arrest for burglary was made in Greenwood St, Barry.
On 23 December a disqualified driver was arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle and driving without a licence on Vere St, Barry.
Three separate arrests were made on Holton Road on 24 December for theft. Another arrest was made on Holton Road on the same day when CCTV operators identified a suspect with an outstanding warrant.
Two further arrests were made on 24 December as a result of CCTV monitoring. One for domestic assault and criminal damage on College Road, Barry, and one for a public order offence on Broad Street, Barry.
The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
