Porthkerry Christmas Craft sessionKids go Christmas craft crazy at Porthkerry

15 December 2014

Nearly 50 people joined the rangers at the Forest Lodge on Saturday 6 December for an afternoon of Christmas craft-making.

The session saw children and adults alike creating eco-friendly Christmas decorations made from either recycled materials, or things collected from within the park.

The finished products included woven twig star decorations, clay reindeer models, and Christmas wish wood cookies.

Mel Stewart, Park Ranger, said: “The children were so imaginative with what they created and their enthusiasm was so contagious that by the end of the afternoon nearly all the adults had created something to take home too. It was such a lovely afternoon and really brought the spirit of Christmas alive.”
