7 Arrests Following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 7 arrests last week.

 

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 54 times during the week ending 29 June 2014.

On St Brides Way on 23 June, one person was arrested for being wanted and for possession of drugs.

 

On 25 June, one person was arrested on Skomer Road, and on 26 June one person was arrested on Treharne Road, both for possession of drugs.

 

On Broad Street, on 27 June, one person was arrested for criminal damage.

 

On 29 June, one person was arrested on Treharne Road for possession of drugs, one person was arrested on Park Crescent wanted on a warrant, and one person was arrested at Barry Island for being drunk and disorderly.

 

One caution was issued on High Street on 27 June for possession of drugs, and on Y Rhodfa on Barry Waterfront two people were issued with tickets under Section 59 of the Road Traffic Act.

 

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

 

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
