Flying Start are holding a child safety event on Tuesday 24 June on King’s Square in Barry.
The ‘community education campaign’, spearheaded by the Child Accident Prevention Trust, will run from 10am to 2pm.
The campaign allows organisations like Flying Start to raise awareness of serious childhood accidents and offer advice and simple steps that can help prevent them.
The event aims to show families that the steps to safety are small, but by taking them they can make a huge difference to children’s safety.
Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded initiative and aims to make a decisive difference to the life chances of children under four within the designated areas of Barry.
Flying Start Project Manager Amber Constant said: “This is a great opportunity to spread the basic safety message to parents and the community, preventing accidents in the home, on the road, or even in the sun.”
