Youth Work Week kicks off in Cardiff Bay

Youth Work Week runs from 23 to 29 June, and aims to promote the benefits of youth work and celebrate the benefits of working with young people.


On 24 June youth services across Wales will be hosting an event at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay, which will see local authority youth services and national voluntary youth organisations showcasing projects along with supervised activities for young people to take part in.


The event, which runs from 12pm to 2pm is being opened by AM Gwenda Thomas, Deputy Minister for Social Services. AM Ken Skates, Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology, will also be making a contribution to the afternoons activities.

Youth Work Week is an annual celebration of youth work that provides an opportunity for youth organisation, youth workers and young people to celebrate their achievements and the impact of their work.
