Advance Notice of Consultation on Alternative Sites Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan
Published Monday 10 March 2014
As part of the responses made to the Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan Deposit Consultation held in November and December last year, the Council has received representations which suggest the inclusion of new development sites, as well the alteration or deletion of proposed development sites.
This includes new and amended residential and employment allocations as well as amendments to green wedge and landscape designations.
It should be noted that these sites are not the Council’s sites and the Council has not formed any view as to their suitability for development and is not promoting them for the uses suggested by the people who have made the representations.
However, the Council is required to consult on these representations and the consultation period will run from Thursday 20 March 2014 to Thursday 1 May 2014 inclusive.
Information on this consultation and how to comment will be placed on the Local Development Plan pages and will be available for public inspection during the consultation period at the Civic Offices and Dock Offices in Barry, the Alps depot in Wenvoe, as well as at all Vale of Glamorgan libraries.
In order to assist the public with responding to this alternative site consultation, sessions have been organised to give the public the chance to discuss the alternative site process with council officers. The sessions will take place between 2pm and 6pm on:
- Wednesday 26 March 2014 at Cowbridge Town Hall (lesser Hall)
- Tuesday 1 April 2014 at St Athan Gathering Place
- Wednesday 2 April 2014 at Penarth Paget Rooms
- Monday 7 April 2014 at Llantwit Major Llantonian Hall
- Tuesday 8 April 2014 at Barry Dock Offices.
