5 arrested following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 5 arrests issued and 1 missing person found last week.


The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 24 times during the week ending 2 November 2014.


On 29 October one person was arrested on Main Street for assault, while on Holton Road two people were arrested for theft.


On 1 November, on High Street, Barry, one person was arrested for a public order offence, and on Broad Street one person was arrested for criminal damage.


On 31 October, one missing person was located on Brook Street.


All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.


The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
