10 arrested following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 10 arrests last week.


The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 45 times during the week ending 14 September 2014.


On 11 September one person was arrested on St. Paul’s Avenue for theft and being wanted on a warrant, and one person was arrested on Barry Waterfront for criminal damage.


On 12 September, one person was arrested on Holton Road for threatening behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon.


There was also one person arrested on Gladstone Road for being drunk in charge of a vehicle, and there were four arrests on Buttrills Road for assault.


On 13 September, one person was arrested on High Street, and one person was arrested on Coldbrook Road, both on a charge of criminal damage.


On 14 September one person was issued a fixed penalty notice on Broad Street for urinating in a public place.


All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.


The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
