Rockpool rambleKids Go Wild This Summer

Published 05 September 2014

‘Go Wild’, the new holiday activity programme at Porthkerry and Cosmeston Lakes Country Parks, has given young people (and their parents) the opportunity to take part in new and exciting Wildlife and Conservation activities.

Hundreds of children took part over the summer holidays in activities such as messy medieval crafts, rock pool rambles, den and fire building, wicked woodland crafts, nature’s art and mammal trapping.

The series of activity days for children aged 5-11 were all ranger-led, supporting the ethos of outdoor learning, and allowed children to enter the hidden worlds of our native British mammals, inaccessible to the untrained eye, and have the opportunity to investigate and discover the possibilities and wonders within their local parks.

If you would like to join the team this autumn and winter for more hands on wildlife and conservation adventures, please contact the park rangers on 029 2070 1678 to be added to their mailing list.
