Free football coaching at Colcot Sports Centre
Published 10 August 2015
The Cardiff City FC Foundation has teamed up with the Premier League Kicks project to offer free sports coaching sessions to young people aged 14 to 19.
The Premier League Kicks project will be running sessions at Colcot Sports Centre every Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.
Participants will not only enjoy free football sessions, they will also receive free kit, as well as a free tour of the Cardiff City Stadium if they turn up for 10 weeks in a row.
There is also a chance to receive free Cardiff City match day tickets, and a football coaching award for those looking to progress further and become coaches themselves.
Working alongside partners such as Communities First, Newydd Housing, and South Wales Police, the project offers free sports coaching sessions to young people, with the aim of combatting anti-social behaviour through engagement in sport.
Affiliated by the Premier League, the project is already running successfully in a number of areas throughout the UK.
Legacy Leisure, who runs Colcot Sports Centre, is a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which they serve.
