The Rainbow Flag and LGBT History Month
We are flying the rainbow flag outside the Civic Offices in February for LGBT History Month
The rainbow flag is a symbol of pride for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities. Its colours reflect the diversity of the LGBT community.
We are flying the flag to celebrate LGBT History Month. This takes place in February every year. It celebrates the lives and achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people throughout history.
It is also a time to think about the discrimination that has gone on and think about how we can improve things in the future.
