5 people arrested following CCTV monitoring

CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 5 arrests made last week.


The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 35 times during the week ending 1 February 2015.


On 29 January one male was arrested on Main Street, Barry for theft.


On 30 January, one male was arrested on Davies Street and one female was arrested on Vere Street, both for various traffic offences.


One male was arrested on 31 January on Broad Street, Barry for assault, and on 1 February one male was arrested on Robert Street for threats to kill and going equipped to commit a crime.


All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.


The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
