Temporary arrangements remain at St Andrews Primary School
Published 09 January 2015
Temporary arrangements remain in place at St. Andrew’s Major Primary School, but a replacement boiler is soon to be fitted, and staff are confident the school will be back to normal as soon as possible.
Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils will attend school as normal in the few heated classrooms available, though are advised to wear extra layers and bring coats just in case.
Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 will continue to travel to Hebron Hall Christian Centre. Parents are asked to drop pupils off by 8.50am when they will be transported to the centre together.
These arrangements will remain in place until further notice.
Head Teacher, Mrs. G. Hallett said: “I would like to thank you for your patience over the last few days. Although we do not yet have a functioning boiler, we have managed to retain some sense of normality for almost all of the children.
“If you have any concerns or queries, please phone the school and speak to myself or Mrs Green. Although I am unable to confirm how long these arrangements will need to be in place, I hope you will agree that the provision offered should now ensure minimal disruption for families and working parents.
“I can also confirm that the children’s education is being maintained to the best of our abilities and the staff are working extremely hard to ensure this is the case.”
