Isle of Fire on Barry IslandVale shortlisted for National Tourism Award

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has been shortlisted for a National Tourism Award for Wales in the Best Event category.


The popular Isle of Fire event, which returned to Barry Island for its second outing in the summer, has been chosen alongside four other small events from across Wales vying for the title of best small event in Wales.


The award will see gold, silver, and bronze winners, which will be announced at the gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Vale Resort on Wednesday 25 March.


Run by Visit Wales, the National Tourism Awards for Wales look to “showcase the very best in Welsh tourism from the best places to stay and eat, to Wales’ best event” with 58 businesses and individuals shortlisted across 14 categories.
