Submission of Vale LDP and Focused Changes Consultation
Published 15 July 2015
After three years of further research and revision the updated Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan will be submitted to Welsh Government for inspection on 24 July.
The submission date will also mark the start of a six week consultation on the ‘focused changes’. These changes are amendments made to the plan following consideration of the responses received to the deposit LDP and alternative sites consultations which have taken place over the last two years.
Details of the changes can be found together with supporting information and help on how to respond at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/ldp. Paper copies of the Schedule of Proposed Focused Changes and response forms are also available at all main council offices and libraries. Copies of all the submission documents can also be viewed on the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s website, at the Dock Office in Barry, and at locations where the pre-deposit documents were made available. At this stage only representations which directly relate to the focused changes will be accepted.
In addition to this members of the council’s planning team will be available at the Dock Office, Barry during office hours throughout the consultation period to discuss the final amendments to the plan with residents. To make the final stage of consultation as accessible as possible three evening drop-in sessions have also been arranged. These are taking place at the Dock Office on 06 August, 17 August and 02 September between 4pm and 8pm. The consultation period will close on 4 September.
Once the consultation period has ended, the council will compile all of the representations and make the information available for the independently appointed planning inspector prior to the start of the public examination of the LDP, anticipated to commence later in 2015.
