Armed forces representatives will hold a ceremony outside the Civic Offices from 10.30am on Monday 22 June to mark the beginning of Armed Forces Week 2015.
An RAF Honour Guard from MOD St Athan and a Contingent from HMS Cambria will parade onto the forecourt alongside the Merchant Seaman memorial, where they will give the general salute, present arms, and raise the armed forces flag.
The Mayor of The Vale of Glamorgan, Cllr Fred Johnson, will be joined by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of the Vale of Glamorgan as well as the High Sheriff and representatives from MOD St. Athan and HMS Cambria.
The RAF voluntary band will also be entertaining the crowd, and will play both the British and Welsh national anthems during the ceremony.
The Vale of Glamorgan is one of more than 450 councils raising the flag as part of countrywide celebrations to honour Britain’s armed forces.
