The Vale of Glamorgan Council has teamed up with Morrisons, who have a Community Champion in each store who gets involved in local community projects. The aim of the initiative is to keep the Vale tidy and to reward those who help by disposing of their litter in the bins provided.
The Council’s Enforcement Team will be out and about this June and July on the lookout for those individuals who are putting rubbish in a bin, or picking up after their dog and disposing of it correctly by bagging, tying and placing it in the bin. They will have 30 vouchers to hand out over the two month period.
Cabinet Member for Visible and Leisure Services, Cllr Gwyn John said: “I’m pleased to launch this summer initiative rewarding our residents and visitors who do the right thing by correctly disposing of their rubbish.”
