The children’s library has also had a makeover with a bright and attractive beach hut theme.
And work to promote reading to children has started in earnest, with the library welcoming 500 children on class visits, running a Harry Potter Night, a hosting a teen quiz, all since the reopening.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council secured a grant of £120,000 from CyMAL in May 2014, which was added to £130,000 previously set aside to provide a total investment of a quarter of a million pounds.
