Upcycling course in Gibbonsdown

Barry Community Garden is offering residents the opportunity of creating furniture at an upcycling course on 21st November. 


Taking place at Parkside Christian Centre, twenty participants will be taught how to create indoor or outdoor furniture from wooden pallets. Expert instructor Sam Holt from Eggseeds will be on hand to teach the basics, taking residents through the step-by-step process. 

Lisa Williams, Manager at Barry Community Garden said, “This upcycling course is available to residents of any age and ability. All tools and pallets will be provided so come along with a bit of lunch and for you’ll end up going home with a beautiful planter or window box to call your own!”

This upcycling course aims to raise funds for Barry Community Garden which is located just off Dyfnallt Road next to Pencoedtre Splash Park. Now managed by Newydd Housing Association and owned by the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Barry Community Garden is an outdoor project available for the whole community to enjoy.
