Vale of Glamorgan LDP Pre-Hearing Meeting

Following the submission of the Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan to the Welsh Government on 24 July an independent Planning Inspector has now been appointed to review the plan.


Welsh Ministers have appointed Mr Richard Jenkins BA (Hons) MSc MRTPI to undertake an Examination in Public of the Council’s Plan. A Pre-Hearing Meeting setting out procedural matters will take place on Thursday 19 November 2015, 10am in the Council Chamber at the Civic Offices in Barry.

The purpose of the meeting is to explain and discuss procedural and administrative matters relating to the management of the Examination and Hearing Sessions; as such, it is likely to be of interest principally to those who have asked to participate in these oral discussions. Those who have previously indicated they wish to participate in the hearing sessions may wish to attend the Pre Hearing Meeting to familiarise themselves of the examination process, ask questions and to be introduced to the Planning Inspector and Programme Officer. Anyone wishing to attend the Pre Hearing Meeting should register their attendance the Programme Officer in advance.

The content and merits of the Plan and the representations will not be discussed at this meeting.
