Council acts to remove travellers from Penarth carpark
22 April 2016
The rear of Penarth’s Cliff Parade Car Park is currently closed to the public, following the unauthorised encampment of a number of caravans.
The Council is working quickly and directly to bring this matter to a close and return the car park for use by the general public. A multi-agency meeting took place on Thursday afternoon to discuss the matter and course of action.
Having also met with the occupants, it has been ascertained that there are no specific welfare issues and a legal letter has been issued, requesting that they vacate the car park. If the occupants fail to move, paperwork will be filed at court next week seeking their removal.
