The Art of Illustration @ Art Central Gallery this summer

Art Central Gallery is hosting ‘The Art of Illustration’ an exhibition inspired by Roald Dahl. The exhibition is showing, by kind permission of Sir Quentin Blake’s and Dahl agencies some prints of Blake’s illustrations that can be seen in the popular children’s books written by Roald Dahl. There is a lot to see and be inspired by in this wonderland of imagination and intrigue!
Come along and take a selfie in the ‘Gigantic Chair’, visit our ‘Witches Corner’, make a note of your dreams, smell the chocolate, and enjoy celebrating the centenary of one of the most prolific writers of children’s books.
Let us take you on a journey that will fill your imagination visit the exhibition and while you’re here join the ‘Reading Challenge’ at Barry County Library or at your local library and read six books this summer to get your certificate and other goodies but be sure to visit the gallery and spring into magical lands, scrumptiousness and other stupendous delights!
Curated by Tracey Harding, Arts Development Officer and Gallery Manger, and Nicola Tucker, artist and teacher, this exhibition will be on show until the end of September. Open from 10am -4pm entrance to the exhibition is free.
