Barry Communities First half term activities

08 March 2016

Barry’s Communities First group held a range of activities over the recent half term that got local children involved in fun and games.

As part of their Catch Up Club, a transition project that supports children and their families progress from primary to secondary school, children spent a busy day being farmers and conservationists at the Amelia Trust Farm.  They learnt how to care for farm’s animals and built bird boxes and feeders to look after birds during the cold winter months.

A Fairy and Pirate Family Cinema Day was held, in partnership with Parkside Christian Church and Vale Play Development.  Many families enjoyed watching Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast, before the children created pirate hats, fairy wands and colourful pictures.
