CRC team hosts Evolving Communities workshop
28 September 2016
Creative-Rural-Communities-logoCreative Rural Communities (CRC), the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s rural regeneration initiative, are inviting people to come forward with innovative ideas that have the potential to take communities and enterprises in the rural Vale in new, exciting directions.
Under the theme ‘Evolving Communities’, the CRC team now aims to support residents in the rural Vale (excluding Barry, Penarth and Llandough) to map out their community’s needs and trial new ways of meeting these.
To help stimulate ideas, the team is organising a workshop on Wednesday 19th October 2016 from 9.30am to 3.30pm at St Athan Community Centre with lunch provided. Everyone in the rural Vale who is involved with community groups, voluntary organisations, service providers or individuals active in their local community is welcome.
Cllr Lis Burnett, Cabinet member for Regeneration and Education, said: “The CRC team has a great track record of working with local communities to develop innovative projects that create long term social and economic benefits for the rural Vale. This new initiative offers yet another opportunity for communities to identify their own priorities and work with us to explore new ways of delivering services.”
If you would like to attend contact the CRC team on 01446 704226 or firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place. For more visit www.CreativeRuralCommunities.co.uk.
