Welsh authors exhibit new works at Art Central book launch
07 July 2017
Two authors were thrilled to introduce their recently published novels at a book launch in Barry.
Former Professor Tony Curtis, was joined by Cardiff author Crystal Jeans for a recital of their books on Thursday 6 July, at Art Central.
Described as the ‘the Caitlin Moran of Cardiff’, her new book follows her successful debut novel ‘The Vegetarian Tigers of Paradise’, which told us of her life growing up in Gabalfa.
Crystal’s recently published second book titled ‘Light Switches are my Kryptonite’ follows the story of a young man struggling to steady his severe OCD problem, and is forced to move back home with his dysfunctional family.
Award-winning welsh author Curtis’ new book titled ‘Some Kind of Immortality’, is a collection of his short fiction stories from the world of publishing and broadcasting over the years.
His collection includes stories on how to deal with coffee-bar infidelities, his love for Cardiff City FC, and shares his worldwide travels from Toronto to Tenby.
Art Central is located inside Barry's Town Hall, and can be accessed through the library.
The evening was sponsored by the Art Central Friends and is supported by the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Arts Development Service.
