Council agrees Improvement Objectives for 2017-18
23 June 2017
The Vale of Glamorgan Council's Improvement Plan Part 1: Improvement Objectives 2017-18 was agreed at a meeting of the Council's Cabinet on the 19 June.
Rob Thomas, Managing Director, said:
“The Council consistently seeks to provide a wide range of essential and good quality services to the residents of the Vale of Glamorgan, whilst at the same time striving to improve. We have a statutory duty to set specific Improvement Objectives each year and set targets against these objectives in order to drive improvements in areas that are important to us and citizens. Eight Improvement Objectives have been set this year, informed by the Council’s Corporate Plan, our Annual Corporate Self-Assessment, our annual service planning process, reports from our external regulators, as well as consultations taken over the past two years.”
Councillor John Thomas, Leader of the Council said:
"I look forward to working with my colleagues, officers and key partners to deliver top quality and responsive services for the benefit of all our residents and communities."
The 2017-18 Improvement Objectives, including the rationale for selecting these, can be viewed on the Council's website.
