Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) secures monthly show at Bro Radio
In a bid to highlight the work of the voluntary sector across the county, Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) has secured a monthly show with Bro Radio.
The Voluntary Sector plays an important role in the Vale of Glamorgan, and this monthly radio show will offer the opportunity for organisations to showcase their work.
GVS actively encourages any local voluntary organisation or community group to showcase its new project, campaign, event or work by attending a radio session or making a pre-recording of an interview with GVS.
If you would like to raise the profile of your organisation, call Paul Warren, Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) 01446 741706 or send an email
Three presentations will be held at Lower Penarth’s Community Centre next month, as part of the GVS Vale Voluntary Action & Community Development Network.
On Tuesday 6 February, Claire Guthrie from Newport’s CAB, will talk about the Gambling Support Service that offers free advice and information for those experiencing problems with gambling.
Andrew Jones who works at Cardiff and Vale Action for Mental Health, will provide an update on the Pave the Way project that provides support to people with mental ill health and Denise Dyer from Carers Trust South East Wales, will provide information about the “Carers Hub” they are proposing to develop for Cardiff and the Vale.
If you would like to attend the network day, contact Dave Edwards on 01446 741706 or e-mail email@example.com
