Property Owners and Businesses Invited to Workspace Event held by Creative Rural Communities
An ‘Inspiring New Workspaces Event’ is inviting businesses and property owners, to learn more about how they can benefit from underused buildings across the county.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Creative Rural Communities team have planned the event for Wednesday 17 January, at 5.30pm at St Donats Arts Centre.
This event was organised following research into bringing redundant and underused buildings in rural Vale back into use for business purposes.
This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020 which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the Welsh Government and the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The feedback from online surveys has found that land owners in rural Vale are unsure about what to do with derelict buildings and businesses are struggling to find appropriate workspaces.
“The Council wants to ensure that there is a range of workspace available in the Vale. The conversion and renovation of rural buildings for rural enterprise provides opportunities to expand the workspace offer.
The event provides an ideal opportunity to learn from our panel of experts who have taken the plunge to transform spaces into pioneering workspaces.” - Councillor Johnathan Bird, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Planning
