Vale Business Start-Up Bursary

The Vale Business Start-Up Bursary scheme is a regeneration and economic development initiative led by the Vale of Glamorgan Council in partnership with various public, private and voluntary section organisations. 
 
The purpose of the bursary is to promote conditions which will help entrepreneurs implement their business idea. This can include providing advice and expert support to develop a business idea, providing the necessary equipment or resources to start a business and helping with business location costs.

Vale Business Development Grant Fund 

The Vale Business Development Grant Fund proposes to provide financial support to established businesses in the Vale of Glamorgan, across all industry sectors.

 

All size grants will be offered at 50% grant funding, 50% match funding for projects. These grants will be available for established businesses that have been trading for 12 months or longer.

Shared Prosperity Fund

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has allocated around £4.6million to Invest in the Supporting Businesses theme over three years from the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF).  The SPF is funded until March 2025.

  • Wales Tourism Investment Fund (WTIF) 
    This fund brings together both commercial and grant funding into one combined package of financial support to provide capital investment for the sector.   
  • Vale of Glamorgan Events Grant Scheme 
    Grant funding to support events in the Vale of Glamorgan.
