Application Process

Tacit Consent

Yes. This means your request is deemed complete and our records duly updated if you have not heard from the local authority by the end of the target completion period.

The target time is  14 calendar days.

Background and Eligibility Criteria

Where a club holds a club premises certificate or has made an application for a club premises certificate, which has not been determined by the licensing authority, the secretary of the club must give notice of any change in the name, or alteration made to the rules, of the club.

The licensing authority duly notified will amend the club premises certificate accordingly.

The above can not include a change to the premises to which the club premises certificate relates.

Fees

The fee for notification of change of name or alteration to the club rules is £10.50.

Offences and Penalties

If notification is not given within 28 days following the day on which the change of name or alteration to the rules is made, the secretary of the club commits an offence.

A person guilty of such an offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 2 on the standard scale.
