The Vale of Glamorgan Council has a Corporate Procurement Unit responsible for developing the Council’s Procurement Strategy and Policy.
The Corporate Procurement Unit works with and advises all departments throughout the Council, aiming to achieve best value for money on all goods, services and works it purchases.
When evaluating bids, offers are considered either as the most economically advantageous in terms of quality and price, or as lowest price, dependent upon what is being purchased. Parties interested in bidding to supply the Council are encouraged to register on the national procurement website sell2Wales, which is where the Council advertises its procurement requirements.
Additionally, the Council is party to framework agreements established by the National Procurement Service (“NPS”). Future NPS business opportunities are also advertised on the sell2wales website.
