Great interest
Over 100 people attended the Vales first ever community Play
Rangers Scheme held at Stratford Green in Barry on 18th April
2007.
Taster Play Sessions
The scheme started after the summer of 2006, when residents
welcomed the trial of Play Rangers.
Children were offered taster play sessions. These proved so
successful that some residents attended a, ‘play work training
course’ to run the pilot project for 2007.
Play opportunities
At any of the Play Ranger Schemes events include: arts &
crafts, junk modeling, den building, parachute games and fire
building. Staff/volunteers helped to meet individuals needs in
the free scheme.
