Big Lottery Fund - People and Places
Aim
This fund aims to bring people together to make their
communities stronger and to improve their rural and urban
environments. It will support local and regional projects and work
throughout Wales.
The minimum grant available is £5001-£1
million
Criteria:
People and Place can fund projects that achieve one or more of
the following outcomes:
- Revitalise communities
- Improve community relations
- Enhance community amenities
It's open to:
The community, voluntary and public sector.
Way of Life
Through the Healthy Families Initiative, the Big Lottery Fund
wants to promote healthy and active lifestyles amongst families by
creating a joined up approach to children’s play, healthy eating
and physical activity. The Way of Life is a strategic programme
that aims to:
- Promote a joined approach to healthy eating/exercise through
community-based projects, working with families.
- Contribute to the evidence of what works in promoting healthy
eating and exercise in children and families.
- Foster joined up working on healthy eating and activity at
local/national levels
- Develop links with children’s play.
