Before joining a sports club, consider:
- Do coaches have appropriate qualifications?
- Is the club affiliated to the correct National Governing Body
of Sport?
- Does the club have a Child Protection policy in place providing
a safe environment?
- Are Coaches/volunteers required to undertake a Criminal Records
Bureau check?
- Are references undertaken for Coaches?
- Does the Club have appropriate insurance?
- Is there a qualified First Aider at the Club?
- Is the activity being delivered appropriate to the specific
needs of your child?
